Getting around in Sri Lanka: Tuk Tuk, Bus & Train
There are three kinds of public transport in Sri Lanka and you are quite likely to be using them all during your trip there: tuk tuk (rickshaw) bus and train.
Sleeping at Colombo Bandaranaike Airport, Sri Lanka
It is manageable to spend a night at Colombo Bandaranaike Airport. There is only one area though where it is possible to get a few hour sleep, and that will be probably be from around 2:00am to 5:00am (my experience) when there are only few flight departures.
The cheap way from Colombo Airport to the City Center
There are two ways to get to Colombo city center from Bandaranaike International Airport. Either you can take a taxi that costs up to 25 USD, depending on your bargaining skills, or you go by public bus.
